The contact drove the vehicle to an independent mechanic who could not duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred, and he stopped driving the vehicle. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V284000 (Steering). The failure mileage was 222,563.
