NHTSA Complaint #11530394 — 2018 HONDA CR-V

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep safety concern regarding an issue I have encountered with the Honda CRV 2018 that I recently purchased from the Honda Dealership in Bellevue, Washington. I purchased the aforementioned vehicle from your authorized dealership two weeks ago. However, within a few days of ownership, I began experiencing persistent ALL warning signals on the vehicle's dashboard. Alarmed by this situation, I immediately contacted the salesperson at the dealership who suggested that the issue may be related to the battery. They are not respsonsbile to this issue. Following their advice, I scheduled an appointment with the Honda Maintenance Service to address the problem. However, during the waiting period, I came across some recommendations from other Honda CRV 2018 owners, who suggested resetting the software as a possible solution. Desperate to find a resolution, I followed their instructions and miraculously, the warning signals disappeared. Unfortunately, the relief was short-lived as the signals reappeared after I replaced the battery myself. Seeking another temporary solution, I reset the software once again, which resulted in the warning signals disappearing once more. However, it is disconcerting to experience such recurring issues in a relatively new purchase. These warning signals not only cause anxiety but also raise concerns about the safety and reliability of the vehicle. Considering the seriousness of this matter, I kindly request your department's intervention to investigate and request the Honda to address this issue with the utmost urgency. It is essential to determine the root cause of the warning signals and provide an effective and permanent solution to ensure the proper functioning and safety of the vehicle.
