NHTSA Complaint #11528360 — 2017 CHEVROLET COLORADO

I took my 2017 Chevrolet Colorada in for an oil change and when exiting the building I made a sharp left turn at very slow parking lot speed. The steering wheel locked up and was difficult to break loosed. I had the mechanic come out and he drove the Colorada around the building and it locked up on him also. This could be a very life threatening situation had it not been in the parking lot. I drove directly to the Chevrolet dealer to report the problem and they had never heard of this happening. I beg to differ on there statement as I did an Internet search and found numerous problems the same as mine from owners of Colorado, Silverado and GMS pickups. I am actually hesitant to drive this vehicle for fear of have a catastrophic failure causing injury or death. I was at a Jiffylube service center at the time and the certified mechanic drove the vehicle.
