NHTSA Complaint #11524522 — 2015 FORD FUSION

On May 15, 2023 I got in my car, proceeded to drive off when I noticed that the airbag light was still illuminated on the instrument panel. I notified the dealership the next day and dropped my car off on May 17, 2023. On May 19 a diagnostics test was run and revealed that I had a faulty seat belt buckle. I declined service on the car. This was shocking to me since I took my car to them less than 4000 miles and less than a year ago for the airbag light staying on again in 2022. At that time it was revealed that it was the passenger seat position sensor & it was repaired. In 2020 my car was also a part of Recall 19S25 for the seat belt. In 2018 repairs were also done on my car due to the airbag light coming on as well. I'm driving the car but now don't know if it is safe to drive. When I picked up the car, the light was still on but about 4-5 days later the light went off by itself. The passenger seat has barely been used since I purchased the car in 2015. After the repairs were done in 2022, the seat/seat belt has not been used so I don't understand how it can be faulty. It seems to me that there's a defect somewhere and it should be investigated. I would appreciate if this is given serious consideration. When I spoke with Ford Motor Company, they told me to contact you to have you investigate the matter.
