The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated while attempting to secure driver’s side seat belt, the belt was only partially inserted. The contact was unable to fasten the seat belt. The contact stated that the seat belt warning light remained illuminated. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or an independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V580000 (Seat Belts). The failure mileage was approximately 133,000.
