NHTSA Complaint #11520436 — 2011 FORD F-150

After my vehicle suffered another harsh downshift from 5th to first gear and my service light came back on, I came up to a yellow light and the car felt as if it was resisting me stopping the vehicle. As the light turned red, I felt the vehicle jump hard towards accelerating and watched the RPM needle bounce between the 1000 and 2000 mark as I did all I could to hold the brakes down and keep it from driving away. This is a new incident and I’ve never had the vehicle do this however it did occur immediately after the hard down shift and after the service light came on. Further research shows several discussions where people have had their vehicle idling erratically, the rpm gauge moving while vehicle is at a stop. Hopefully someone is willing to make this right.
