NHTSA Complaint #11515249 — 2014 GMC TERRAIN

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized, and the vehicle lost motive power. No warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle previously had an oil change; however, the engine was consuming an excessive amount of engine oil. The vehicle was towed to the residence and had not been diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.
