NHTSA Complaint #11514760 — 2020 FLEETWOOD FORTIS

The contact owns a 2020 Fleetwood Fortis 34MB built on a 2020 Ford F-59 chassis. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the RV was vibrating. The contact pulled over, and upon inspection, she noticed that the bolts were loosened on the rear stabilizer bar attachment brackets. The contact's boyfriend purchased the bolts from the hardware store and replaced the bolts on the rear stabilizer bar brackets. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V73100 (Suspension) and stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue but declined to perform the recall repair due to not having enough space at their facility to perform the recall repair on the RV. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and was attempting to locate a dealer that could perform the recall repair. The failure mileage was approximately 9,000.
