The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the tailgate opened unintendedly while driving. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred intermittently. The dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle could not be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V904000 (Structure) since the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 6,500.
