NHTSA Complaint #11509565 — 2007 HONDA RIDGELINE

The contact owns a 2007 Honda Ridgeline. The contact received notification of the NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V430000 (Structure) however, the vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed that the remedy was not adequate for the extent of rust located on the rear subframe of the vehicle. The contact was advised to notify the manufacturer of the issue. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed to contact another dealer however, the contact was informed that the recall could not be completed. The contact then stated that he noticed that the fuel tank had detached and was held in place by an unknown attachment. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that he would receive a call back however, the contact had not been contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000. The consumer stated the problem has been resolved.
