Consumer Description
The contact's son owns a 2017 Kia Optima. The contact stated that while her son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. Additionally, the vehicle was consuming an excessive amount of oil. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed as needing a new engine. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000. The VIN was not available.
