Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after a rainstorm, the shift selector would no longer shift from park to drive, rendering the vehicle undrivable. The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the PCM was faulty and needed to be replaced. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure and informed the contact that the PCM was on back order and unavailable. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 120,000.
