The contact stated that excessive force was required to steer the vehicle during the failure. The contact called a dealer and was informed that the VIN was not covered under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V284000 (Steering). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.
