NHTSA Complaint #11497615 — 2014 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shudder while accelerating. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle to the dealer on multiple occasions where the clutch assembly and PCM (Power Train Control Module) were replaced under warranty after each failure. The failure persisted, with the check engine warning light illuminated. Upon investigation, the contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V735000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was not under recall or warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 40,000.
