Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2006 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the seat belt warning light remained illuminated with the audible warning continuously chiming. The contact indicated that the audible chime was present with or without the seat belts being secured. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 116,000.
