NHTSA Complaint #11488415 — 2016 FORD TRANSIT

The contact owns a Winnebago RV built on a 2016 Ford Transit chassis equipped with the original Cummins Onan generator with Model: 2.5HGJBB-1126A. The contact stated that while in use, the generator stalled. The contact then stated that he smelled a fuel odor throughout the RV. The RV was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel hose failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 47,000. The contact stated failure mileage to be 27,000.
