Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox. The contact stated while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The contact stated that she was able to restart the vehicle without further failure. The contact also stated that after driving for a while, the vehicle was turned off however, the engine continued to run. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as a fuel pump seal malfunction. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that she was awaiting an appointment with the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was unknown. The VIN was not available.
