Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2017 Coachmen Mirada Motorhome built on a 2016 Ford F53 Motorhome chassis. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the carbon monoxide alarm alerted him that there were carbon monoxide fumes inside the RV. Upon inspection, the contact noticed that there was a hole in the firewall caused by exposed engine wires that were not sealed. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the RV was not diagnosed nor repaired. The dealer informed the contact that it was a defect and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 8,000.
