NHTSA Complaint #11463221 — 2021 COACHMEN SPORTSCOACH

The contact owns a 2021 Coachman Sportscoach. The contact stated that while driving an abnormal noise was heard coming from the rear wheels. The selling dealer was contacted and stated that the issue was a Freightliner issue. The vehicle was taken to a Freightliner dealer that did not diagnose the failure. The contact stated that the failure continued. The recreational vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the failure as the brake drums and the S-cam. The recreational vehicle was repaired. The manufacturers' Coachman and Freightliner were notified of the failure. The contact stated that a case was opened with Freightliner who advised that the brakes were not covered under a warranty as the contact did not have an actual failure with the brakes.
