NHTSA Complaint #11462397 — 2019 RAM 1500

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel vibrated abnormally while turning to the right. The contact stated that while coming to stop, the steering wheel shook and then seized momentarily. The contact stated that several unknown warning light s were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the steering gear needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and informed the contact that the repair was not covered under warranty. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.
