NHTSA Complaint #11461648 — 2015 TESLA MODEL S

The contact owns a 2015 Tesla Model S. The contact stated that the camera behind the rearview mirror overheated after driving for approximately 6 hours. Additionally, the other cameras became inoperable. The auto pilot lost vision of the line and drove over the line. The contact stated that the auto connection disconnected. The contact stated that after the computer cooled down the system operated as designed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000. The consumer stated he resolved the issue. The problem was a faulty cable.
