NHTSA Complaint #11457808 — 2013 LAND ROVER LR4

The contact owns a 2013 Land Rover LR4. The contact stated that the interior of the vehicle had a strong gasoline odor. The contact stated that the gasoline odor was increasingly strong after refueling the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the gasoline odor was making his pregnant wife nauseous. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who informed the contact that they could not replicate the failure. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V635000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
