Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country. The contact stated that the airbag warning light had been illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle's front side impact sensor had failed and needed to be replaced. The contact became aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V008000 (Air Bags) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that his vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.
