Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the power steering failed to operate as needed. The power steering assist warning light was illuminated after the failure occurred. The contact stated that she was unable to reset the power steering. The contact took the vehicle to a certified mechanic who informed her of an unstated recall. The contact spoke with the dealer who confirmed that the VIN was not included. The vehicle had not been repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000.
