NHTSA Complaint #11440785 — 2014 CADILLAC SRX

The contact owns a 2014 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the passenger’s air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The vehicle was then taken to an independent mechanic who accidentally reset the air bag code when it was connected to the code reader. The failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a recall for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000.
