NHTSA Complaint #11437315 — 2006 DODGE SPRINTER 3500

The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Sprinter 3500. The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V833000 (Electrical System, Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and for an unknown Manufacturer recall for the engine control unit failure however, the dealer informed the contact that the parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the issue and advised the contact that they would assist with locating a dealer who could complete the recall repairs. A case was opened. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect. Consumer stated the recall items were issued sometime early on (2006) and the timeline for repairing the recall items is 2006-Dec 2021. 12 dealers were contacted and none could work on it and consumer still has two recall items pending.
