NHTSA Complaint #11432518 — 2019 SPARTAN K2

The contact owns a 2019 Spartan K2. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the buzzer alarm engaged, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) sensors had failed. The contact was able to drive to a nearby independent mechanic and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the check engine warning light illuminated while driving. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
