The contact owns a 2010 Hyundai Veracruz. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V705000 (Engine and Engine Cooling) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the vehicle shut down and was towed to a certified mechanic. The battery was replaced however, shortly after, the alternator failed the vehicle was towed back to the same mechanic and the alternator was replaced. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the dealer declined to assist because the contact had the vehicle towed and repaired by an independent mechanic.
