Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 MPH, the accelerator pedal became stuck causing the speed to increase to approximately 65 mph. The contact indicated that the vehicle would not slow down while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was shifted into neutral and turned off to stop the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. After the failure, the floor mats were inspected, and no related failure was found. The failure mileage was 3,200.
