NHTSA Complaint #11427645 — 2015 MERCEDES-BENZ C300

The contact owns a 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300. The contact’s wife stated while driving 70 mph, the roof panel separated and detached from the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed but not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA campaign number: 21V197000 (Structure) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.
