NHTSA Complaint #11423068 — 2015 GMC CANYON

The contact owned 2015 GMC Canyon. The contact stated that after entering and starting the vehicle, the steering wheel was difficult to turn. There was an unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed of a loss of power steering torque sensor that was linked to the rack and pinion. The contact was informed that the Vin was included in NHTSA campaign number: 21V213000 (Suspension). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 107,000.
