NHTSA Complaint #11422036 — 2007 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2007 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving at 25 mph, a cable van was parked on the side of the road not allowing the contact to see the other vehicle reversing out of the driveway. As a result, the vehicle rear ended the vehicle in the driveway. The air bags failed to deploy. A police report was filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was not drivable and was not towed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 21V158000 (Air bags). The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 200,000.
