Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 FORD F-150. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, AN ABNORMALLY LOUD SOUND WAS COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND SHUT-OFF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED BUT SPUTTERED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SPARK PLUGS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED, LEADING TO AN ENGINE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOTIFIED BUT PROVIDED NO ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 13,000.
