Consumer Description

THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SLIP BADLY, EVEN TOTALLY DISENGAGE. I WAS GETTING ON A VERY BUSY ROAD AND ACCELERATED AND SUDDENLY THE CAR DECELERATED; THE CAR BEHIND ME ALMOST REAR ENDED ME, HONKED HIS HORN, BUT THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO. IT SLIPPED NOT AS BADLY LAST YEAR AND FORD FIXED IT, SAYING IT WAS UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR KNOWN ISSUES WITH THE TRANSMISSION, BUT NOW THEY SAY IT IS NOT COVERED AND WILL COST $2200 TO FIX. THERE ARE PAGES AND PAGES ON THE INTERNET TALKING ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH THIS TRANSMISSION. IT IS DANGEROUS!
