Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 FORD FOCUS. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE IDLING, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FREESTONE FORD (1201 US-84, FAIRFIELD, TX 75840; (903) 608-9515) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A STUCK CANISTER PURGE VALVE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK, FUEL PUMP, AND FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THE FAILURE WAS LIKE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V515000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 114,000.
