Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD FUSION. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE LOSS POWER STEERING FUNCTIONALITY. THE CONTACT'S SON WAS ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY. THE CONTACT CALLED AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE CAREFULLY DRIVEN HOME. THE CONTACT CALLED INSKEEP FORD (2651 W MAIN ST, GREENFIELD, IN 46140, (317) 462-1470) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS WITH A STEERING COLUMN GEAR MALFUNCTION. THE CONTACT WAS QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF $2,421. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 49,594.*DT*JB
