Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED. THE VEHICLE BECAME DIFFICULT TO STEER WHILE DRIVING BACK TO THE RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER TWO DAYS, THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATIONAL FUNCTION. SOUTHLAND DODGE USED CARS (6161 W. PARK AVE, HOUMA, LA 70364, (985) 303-1589) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19E077000 (STEERING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE APPROXIMATELY 227,000.
