Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 GMC SIERRA 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE REVERSING, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED WITH THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT AND PARKING ASSIST WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE SHIFTED TO PARK AND RESTARTED FOR THE VEHICLE TO OPERATE AS INTENDED. THE FAILURE RECURRED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
