Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 FORD EXPLORER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CURVE OF THE ROAD AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SUDDENLY FAILED. NO WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO USE EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF FORCE WHEN STEERING THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER O'BRIEN FORD OF SHELBYVILLE (720 MT EDEN RD, SHELBYVILLE, KY 40065, (502) 633-4535) WHO STATED THAT THE GEAR ASSEMBLY STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED AS OF YET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
