Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 HYUNDAI TUCSON. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40 MPH, SHE HEARD AN ABNORMAL RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED A HOLE ON THE REAR OF THE SUBFRAME DUE TO CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AUTONATION HYUNDAI O'HARE (1509 S RIVER RD, DES PLAINES, IL 60018) WHERE PICTURES WERE TAKEN OF THE HOLE IN THE SUBFRAME AND SUBMITTED TO THE MANUFACTURER FOR REVIEW. AFTER THE REVIEW, THE MANUFACTURER DECIDED NOT TO ASSIST THE CONTACT WITH THE REPAIR OF THE VEHICLE DUE TO AN EXPIRED WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED, AND REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 127,800.
