TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACTED STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH WHEN ATTEMPTING TO STEER EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER. THE CONTACT HAD NOT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V284000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
