Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA SORENTO. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER AN OIL CHANGE, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL KNOCKING NOISE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DAR CARS KIA LOCATED AT (4700 BRANCH AVE, MARLOW HEIGHTS, MD) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V224000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
