Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 LEXUS LS460. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITH THE VSC (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL) WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 30 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ON ONE OCCASION WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THE VEHICLE WAS UNRESPONSIVE WHILE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT THEN DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOORBOARD AND THE VEHICLE RESPONDED AND EXCEEDED SAFE DRIVING SPEEDS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNCONTROLLABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TWO INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WHERE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. HERRIN-GEAR LEXUS LOCATED AT (1685 HIGH ST, JACKSON, MS 39202) WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000.
