Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 FORD EXPEDITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD AUTOMATICALLY DOWNSHIFT AND STALL WHEN TRAVELLING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 70 MPH. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THE ISSUE WAS DUE TO THE TRANSMISSION LEAD FRAME AND RECOMMENDED A REPLACEMENT. THE SUDDEN DOWNSHIFT CAUSES THE CONTACT'S BODY TO SLAM INTO THE STEERING WHEEL AND CONSOLE. THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WOULD BE TAKING THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT YET BEEN CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
