Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 HONDA CIVIC. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE READING WAS ABNORMALLY HIGH WHICH INDICATED THAT THE ENGINE WAS OVERHEATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MANUFACTURER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CYLINDER HEAD HAD FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 103,000.
