Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO REPAIR THE WIRING AND THE POWER STEERING TEMPORARILY RETURNED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO COTTAGE GROVE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (2800 ROW RIVER RD, COTTAGE GROVE, OR 97424, (541) 942-5551) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V167000 (STEERING), WHICH HE ASSOCIATED WITH THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 35,000.
