Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 KIA SOUL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V120000 (ENGINE, ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED AFTER THE RECALL WAS REMEDIED. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE OIL AND CHECK ENGINE INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO ARCHER KIA (11614 SOUTHWEST FWY, HOUSTON, TX 77031, (888) 879-5194) AND WAS INFORMED THAT OIL HAD BEEN BURNING INSIDE THE ENGINE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
