Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 FORD ESCAPE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT COOLANT WAS LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE AND ADDITIONAL COOLANT HAD TO BE ADDED. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO PROVIDED A PRESSURE TEST, BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HALL FORD NEWPORT NEWS (12896 JEFFERSON AVE, NEWPORT NEWS, VA 23608, (877) 398-2216) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A PRESSURE TEST AND ENGINE WERE NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS24815719, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 12V431000 AND 12V551000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
