Consumer Description
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET SILVERADO 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S ONSTAR STOPPED WORKING AND THE DOOR LOCKS MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DOORS COULD NOT LOCK WITHOUT THE KEY. IN ADDITION, THE WINDOWS WERE UNABLE TO ROLL DOWN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO HAVE MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTIONS AND SEVERAL INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE BODY MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.
