Consumer Description

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 CHEVROLET MALIBU. WHILE DRIVING, THE BATTERY IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT DRAINED ALL OF THE POWER AND SHUT OFF THE ENGINE. AS A RESULT, THE POWER STEERING AND BRAKES ALSO SHUT OFF. THE CONTACT HAD TO PLACE TWO FEET ON THE BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP THE VEHICLE AND MANEUVER THE STEERING WHEEL WITHOUT POWER STEERING ABILITY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER, INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, OR MANUFACTURER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR REPAIRS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
